Fort Miami Women’s Rugby Takes on Treasure Coast in Exciting 10s Showdown

This past weekend, Fort Miami Women’s Rugby competed against Treasure Coast Women’s Rugby in an exciting 10s format match. With two teams, Fort Miami Blue and Fort Miami Green, both sides showcased strong performances and teamwork.

Fort Miami Blue had an outstanding game, with rookie Taylor Lynott making an impressive debut by scoring four tries. Veteran Morgan Freeman demonstrated her skill and leadership on the field, adding three tries to the team’s total. Rookie Essence Bell celebrated her birthday in style, contributing two tries and making the day even more special. Another rookie, Caley Massa, also added two tries to help secure a solid win for the team.

Fort Miami Green also put on a great performance. Rookie Morgan Walker brought her experience to the field, scoring two tries and making an impact. Veteran players Skylar Cypress-Ellison and Sydnee Meriwether each contributed one try, adding to the team’s strong showing. Veteran scrum-half Sam Olinick showcased their strategic playmaking skills with a well-executed try that highlighted her experience and field vision.

Both Fort Miami teams displayed determination and excellent teamwork throughout the matches. Rookies and veterans alike stepped up, making significant contributions to the games. Fort Miami Women’s Rugby is fired up and ready for their next match traveling to Jacksonville on January 25th!
